Choose by the exhibition

Fotomuseum aan het Vrijthof is at Vrijthof 18. Look at the current exhibition before deciding how much of your day to give it. Photography can be the main reason for coming into the centre, or a single indoor stop between walks; the programme makes the difference.

Planning the visit

The regular schedule is Tuesday to Sunday, with Monday closed. Holiday exceptions are published on the museum’s visitor page. Online booking is optional: tickets are also available at the desk. The museum accepts card payments rather than cash. Check the live admission list for applicable museum passes and concessions.

Access

The museum says its exhibition areas can be reached by lift and that an accessible toilet is available. If you have specific requirements, use its published access information before arrival. Coming from the station involves the walk through Wyck and across the river, so factor the whole journey into the plan.

Keep the rest of the day nearby

Start with coffee and a browse at Dominicanen, then come to the museum. After the exhibition, cross Vrijthof for the streets around Saint Servatius. If you are continuing into the evening, Brusselsestraat is close by; there is no need to return to the river between every stop.
