Put the city in context
Maastricht Museum is on the first floor of Centre Céramique at Avenue Céramique 50. It is a separate museum from Bonnefanten. Choose it when the history of Maastricht is what you want to explore, and build the rest of the day around the streets and river outside.
A useful stop from the station
The location works well before crossing into the old centre. Walk through Wyck, continue south to Centre Céramique, then head for the Maas. That order avoids a journey back across town later. If you are arriving with bags, resolve luggage storage before assuming the museum can accommodate everything.
Hours and access
The standard schedule is Tuesday to Sunday, with holiday exceptions. Lifts serve the museum; the visitor page explains an alternative route for the mezzanine and a platform stairlift for a small section. Check those dimensions and arrangements if they affect your visit, rather than relying on a general accessible label.
After the museum
Walk to Plein 1992 and towards Hoge Brug. Crossing here puts you close to the park and the southern old centre. Staying on the east bank takes you towards Bonnefanten. For a short visit, one museum followed by a walk is a more comfortable plan than booking two consecutive interiors.
